Quick Install

The fastest way to install Engram:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jsflax/Engram/main/scripts/install.sh | bash

Homebrew

brew install jsflax/tap/engram

Desktop App

Section titled “Desktop App”

Download Engram.app for macOS 15+ — includes the 3D knowledge graph visualizer.

Requirements

  • macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later
  • An MCP-compatible AI client (Claude Code recommended)

Verify Installation

Section titled “Verify Installation”

After installing, verify Engram is running:

Terminal window
engram --version

The MCP server starts automatically when an AI client connects to it. You don’t need to run it manually.
